Anonymous asked:I read “Everyone’s Most Hated Fantasy Fiction Cliches” from Obsidian Bookshelf and feel incredibly vexed. The story I’m working on (finished, but I’m revising it for the third time) is doing everything wrong. I don’t know linguistics, politics, war, religion, geography or enough about the middle ages to make my stories - past, present, and future - work. Nothing works! Everything falls flat. I don’t know enough to write what I know and what I do know lacks depth and realism.

I will be making Elven jewelry once I finish up with finals week. Just in time for the Desolation of Smaug & Christmas :)
